Performance Process

  • A detailed Performance Profile (PP) of strength and weaknesses. The PP is a tool for motivation, accountability and collaboration. Meant for self observation and not self-judgement where the athlete focuses on themselves and the controllable aspects of their current and future performance. Always in flux, and addressed every session, the PP gives important feedback on individual performance trends and outcomes. Also ideal for injury recovery.

  • Based on the Performance Profile, a detailed strategic approach towards enhancing strengths while improving weaknesses: e.g., focus, confidence, pre-practice and pre-game routines, time management, imagery for injury recovery, in-competition visualization, and biofeedback for optimal breathing patterns to help self-regulate under pressure situations.

  • While strategy is the action plan that takes you where you want to go, the tactics are the individual steps and actions that will get you there. And, no size fits all. Every athlete has different strengths and different areas of need improvement. I specialize in zeroing in on both. In collaboration, we magnify the strengths while diligently addressing the deficiencies in very specific and tactical ways - both in and out of competition. .

  • Yes, it’s about results and competitive outcome - but, fundamental to that remains the process. In all private sessions we are continually updating and modifying the Performance Profile. We also use a number of biofeedback technologies including virtual reality platforms to enhance spacial awareness, navigational ability and peripheral vision. Assessment is continual.
